Money Matters

En Español

Learning to balance and live on a budget can be difficult for students. College may be the first time students find themselves paying their own bills, balancing a check book, or managing credit cards. Some students find themselves unprepared to deal with the huge responsibility of money management. You, as a parent, can be a good source of financial information and may be able to provide helpful pieces of advice.

Tuition & Fees

An estimate of costs for tuition, fees, room, board, and personal expenses for both in-state and out-of-state students can be found on the Financial Aid & Scholarship site.

Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships

OSU is committed to making a college education financially possible for your child. The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships assists students and parents with understanding the full array of loan, grant, scholarship, and work study options. The office provides step-by-step help with applications, timelines, and what to expect after you apply and beyond the first year. Information about student employment can also be found on their website.

Another helpful resource is the website for the U.S. Department of Education's Federal Student Aid (FSA) programs, which provide nearly 70% of all student financial aid.

Student Accounts

The Student Finance Office has a brand new website where we have tuition and fee information as well as other student account information listed. The Student Finance Office has details on tuition, fees, and other student account information via their website http://oregonstate.edu/fa/businessaffairs/studentfinance/. Your student can check the status of his or her account through a password-protected online website.
