zero emission agriculture
an abatement objective in which agriculture contributes no greenhouse gases that effect climate change; actual emissions may be offset through recycling, carbon sequestration or environmental credit trading. Under UNFCCC reporting standards, agriculture is the second largest greenhouse gas emitter of anthropogenic greenhouse gasses globally.
