What is my Student ID & GAP?

• Your Student ID number is a 9-digit number generated by OSU. You can find your OSU ID number on your OSU acceptance letter (letter of admission)

• Your General Access PIN (or GAP) is a 6-digit number known only to you. If you do not know your GAP you must first create it.


• Create your GAP Here: This link will take you to OSU Online Services where you can get your Student ID & create your GAP. Once at the OSU Online Services page, click the "Need Help?" link for instructions.


• The first time you login to the OSU Online Services, your GAP will be your birth date in MMDDYY format, you will immediately be prompted to change this to a new 6-digit number for security purposes. This number is important to remember, as it is your access point to all University information such as grades, class registration, and address details.
