Configuring Microsoft Outlook for Remote Access
To configure a POP/IMAP client, you will need the following information:
Incoming Mail Server:
exmail.oregonstate.edu
Username: domain\username -or- e-mail.address@oregonstate.edu
require a secure connection
port: imap - 993 / pop - 995
Outgoing Mail Server:
exmail.oregonstate.edu

require a secure connection
port: 25
Problems Authenticating?
In the past we've seen email clients work better with the customer UPN instead of the pre-windows 2000 username or email address. Try using the UPN to solve this authentication problem, it's fairly common.
The following clients support SSL:
Eudora 5.1, Windows/MAC, POP/IMAP
Outlook Express 4+, Windows/MAC, POP/IMAP
Netscape 4.x, Windows/MAC, IMAP
Netscape 6.x, Windows/MAC, IMAP, 6.2 POP/IMAP
AppleMail for OS X, 10.1.3, IMAP
Mozilla 1.0, Windows/MAC, POP/IMAP
Entourage X for OS X, IMAP
Entourage 2001 for Mac, IMAP
Help with Eudora for the Mac
Eudora for the Mac requires that the Keychain extension be installed
and that there is at least one keychain created on the machine. Open Control
Panels, Keychain Access to create a keychain.
You will also need to configure Eudora to use Keychain, under Miscellaneous settings.
Configure Eudora as follows:
SSL for POP Required (alternate port)
SSL for SMTP Required (TLS)
SSL for IMAP Required (alternate port)
mail server: exmail.oregonstate.edu
SMTP server: (leave blank - it's the same as the mail server)
