The OSU Marine Council was created in 2010 with the aim of enhancing coordination and cooperation among Oregon State University's marine-related research units.
With representatives from 18 colleges, departments, centers, and institutes, the Marine Council makes it its duty to promote the University's status as one of the top oceanographic and marine science universities in the nation. Through the work of its eight Action Coordination Teams, the council works to improve research, education, fundraising, and outreach initiatives, as well as to foster internal and external partnerships and collaborations for the University.
Sea Grant Director Stephen B. Brandt is the current Chair of the Marine Council, which convenes on a periodic basis.
