Live-On Policy and Exceptions

As part of the First Year Experience program, living on campus is an important component of a student’s first year at OSU. On-campus living provides unique resources and connections that help students create a successful and well-rounded college experience.

OSU staff understands that in some instances, some students may need to petition for a qualifying exemption. Exceptions to the live-on requirement will only be considered after a student completes the UHDS housing application.
