Be advised that DPS Officers and Student Patrol will be going through each building and asking occupants to leave. The buildings will be secured until the power can be restored. It is still unknown when power will be restored.

Pacific Power & Light restored service to the Corvallis campus at approximately 04:45 this morning. All of the affected buildings now have power with Facilities Services working to address any remaining issues resulting from the outage.

Helton, Christopher Eugene, DOB: 9/11/1972, was excluded from the Oregon State University Campus on Saturday, 11/17/2012 for disorderly conduct and possession of a controlled substance. After this incident, he called the Corvallis 911 business line and threatened harm to the campus community.

Mr. Khan Kiai Gorlewski has made threats against law enforcement officials to harm them and to engage in self-harm. He also has a history of disruptive behavior at various University locations and offices.

Power is currently being restored to the approximately 20 buildings that lost power around 10:45 a.m. (also impacting much of west Corvallis.) ALS (Ag & Life Sciences), Gilbert and Richardson will remain closed until 5:30 p.m. while facility services performs a systems check. All other buildings are currently open.

Due to the power outage that occurred on campus this afternoon, Nash Hall is without power and has been secured by DPS until power is restored. No unauthorized personnel are allowed inside the building per the request of the building manager. Power is expected to be out for the evening and hopes are by morning all buildings will have power.

The Oregon State Police have recently received multiple reports of unwanted physical contact. In all incidents the female victim was approached by a male suspect who asked for directions to a Corvallis location. In the first incident the suspect followed the victim for a short distance before fleeing the area.
