SECURITY ALERT - Predatory Sex Offender

Linn County Parole and Probation is releasing the following information pursuant to ORS 181.587, OAR 291-28-30, which authorizes Parole and Probation to inform the public when the release of information will enhance public safety and probation.
The individual who appears on this notification has been convicted of a sex offense that requires registration. Additionally, this person’s criminal history places them in a classification level which reflects the potential to re-offend. This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public.

Bruce A Sitton is on Post Prison Supervision for the crime (s) of BURG I X II. These crimes involved him stalking female victims who were not known to him and breaking into their residence while they were asleep. Sitton would then engage in physical contact with his victims. On one occasion he got into bed with a victim and touched her breasts. Sitton has a past history of similar crimes.
