Signs and Symptoms
Symptoms of H1N1 in people are similar to the symptoms of seasonal flu and include:
- fever
- cough
- sore throat
- runny or stuffy nose
- body aches
- headache
- chills
- fatigue
A significant number of people who have been infected with this virus also have reported diarrhea and vomiting. Also, like seasonal flu, severe illnesses and death has occurred as a result of illness associated with this virus.
If you have these symptoms and they are mild, please stay home and care for yourself. If you are a student and your symptoms are more severe, or if you have any questions about H1N1, please call Student Health Services (541) 737-WELL (9355) to speak with the advice nurse. If you are not a student, please contact your own health care provider.
