College of Veterinary Medicine

The College of Veterinary Medicine at Oregon State University was established in 1975 with three major areas of responsibility: teaching, research, and public service. The college accepts 40 Oregon residents and eight nonresidents into its program each year. Completion of the professional program leads to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) degree.

Comprehensive research training is provided through graduate programs leading to the master of science or doctor of philosophy degree in comparative veterinary medicine.

The D.V.M. program is supported by two departments: biomedical sciences and large animal clinical services. The college is fully accredited by the Council on Education of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
