Submission Information
Proposal Checklist
- Log in to the TRF Submission Site using your ONID account. Visit the ONID Homepage for information on how to attain or manage your ONID account.
- You will start out in My Proposals. Use the Start a New Proposal button to begin.
- If you would like to copy a previous proposal's details, choose the proposal from the dropdown list and select "copy." If you prefer to start from scratch, fill out some minimal information, and save your proposal. You can change things later, this will be your working draft.
- Edit and adjust your proposal as much as you want. This includes adding budget information using the budget tool, or adding attachments in PDF format (references, letters, etc.)
- Choose a Dean, Vice President or Vice Provost that will sign your TRF proposal. You must have at least one signature from the Required Signature list attached to your proposal.
- You may add an ONID username in the Permissions tab to add an additional author. Keep in mind that only one person may edit a proposal at a time.
- When you are satisfied with your proposal, use the Submit tab to submit your proposal.
- Once submitted, your proposal will be locked. If you want to re-open it for editing, you may do a Take Back using the tools in My Proposals. Please use this feature with caution, however. Keep in mind that when you re-submit the proposal, it becomes a new revision, and you will need to submit printed copies of the new revision with the necessary signatures.
-
If you have submitted your proposal and are sure that you do not need any more changes, use the Export to PDF feature to view and print your proposal. Send a fully signed copy to:

Proposal Revisions
- Prior to the submission deadline, you may log in and make adjustments to your proposal if necessary. Follow the steps above to re-submit once you have made the requested changes.
- Remember that the re-submitted proposal must be printed, signed, and delivered to the address above. The revision number on the printed proposal must match the one in the system. This means whenever you take back and then re-submit a proposal, you would need to print the proposal and gather signatures again.
