As the Corvallis campus diversifies, students and faculty members gain experience working in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas:
A transatlantic partnership. Students at OSU and at Duale Hochschule Baden Württemberg-Ravensburg in Germany collaborated to produce a second consecutive a first-place in the global Formula SAE racing competition at the Michigan Speedway.
Build a house. Build respect. OSU student athletes in Beavers Without Borders built homes for families in Guatemala and Macedonia.
Protect public health. Student engineers working through an international organization, Engineers Without Borders, are developing sanitary water supply facilities for a rural village in southern Kenya.
Planned development. A team of OSU researchers has developed a method for evaluating the social and environmental consequences of building dams in China and Southeast Asia.
Coffee break. During winter vacation, seven members of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) traveled to Guatemala to assist the entrepreneurial efforts of local coffee farmers and to conduct interviews for microloans.
Cultures on campus. More than 1,600 international students enrolled OSU this fall as the university opened the new International Living-Learning Center, hosting students from the U.S. and abroad.
