The 5th Annual Cultural Connections Exhibit: Pacific Island Culture
The variety of cultural diversity that dots the Pacific Ocean is overwhelming. There are 20,000 – 30,000 islands scattered throughout 64 million square miles of ocean. The vastness of the ocean and isolation of islands allowed many animals, plant life, and cultures to develop and thrive. The Pacific Island cultures are each unique and yet share a common feeling of dream-like paradise to people all over the world. All add wonderful color to the culture of humanity.
Some have similar cultures branching off to other islands and over the centuries others remained isolated and dramatically different.
