OSU Faculty Recital - Jessica Lambert & Rachelle McCabe Violin & Piano ConcertConstruction and Engineering HallSun, 03/04/2012 - 3:00pm - 5:00pmOSU music faculty Jessica Lambert, violin, and Rachelle McCabe, piano, will perform a program of exciting duo violin-piano repertoire this Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in the Construction and Engineering Auditorium at the LaSells Stewart Center on the OSU Campus. The concert is supported by OSU Piano Activities and is free. The program begins with a baroque sonata for violin and continuo by Heinrich Biber, one of his “mystery sonatas” that requires a specially tuned violin. Instead of normal tuning (g-d’-a’-e”), Lambert’s violin (her second one) will be tuned to a-d’-a’-d”. Lambert and McCabe will follow with Beethoven’s powerful Sonata in C minor, Opus 30 no. 2. The second half features Russian works including the Meditation and Scherzo from Tchaikovsky's Three Pieces, Opus 42, and the wonderful Sonata No. 2 in D Major by Sergei Prokofiev.

She writes the popular "Diagnosis" column, which appears monthly in the New York Times Magazine. This column was the inspiration for the award winning medical drama House M.D., on which she currently serves as technical advisor. Dr. Sanders' presentation will discuss physician-patient relationships as illustrated in her best selling book, Every Patient Tells a Story.
