Nicodemus Study Abroad Scholarship
Country(s): Any OSU-approved study abroad/internship program
Requirements: Full-time OSU undergraduate with a minimum 2.5 GPA and Pell-eligible at the time of application; program must be at least 10 weeks long
Award Amount: Ten awards of $2500 each for 2009-2010 Academic Year

Boren Scholarships - National Security Education Program
Country(s): Most countries except Western Europe, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand; Can apply towards the following OSU sponsored programs: China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Bulgaria, Tunisia -- or for students fluent in Spanish - Mexico/Ecuador direct exchange.
Requirements: Must complete a service requirement with US federal government agency upon return from abroad and graduation; US citizen at time of application.
Award Amount: Summer: $2,500 Semester: $4,000 -$10,000 Academic Year: $6,000 - $20,000

Notes: This is a national scholarship. It is competitive and the application is extensive. It is recommended that students begin the application process 1-3 months in advance of the deadline.
Rotary International
Country(s): Any country with a Rotary club
Requirements: At least two years of college-level coursework; cannot be Rotarians, spouses, or lineal descendants of Rotarians; must be proficient in the language of proposed host country.
Award Amount: Varies; up to $25,000

Gilman
Country(s): Any country not under DOS Travel Warning
Requirements: U.S. citizen; undergraduate student in good standing; currently receiving the federal Pell Grant; Summer option for science, technology, engineering, & math majors ONLY.
Award Amount: Up to $5,000

DAAD - German Academic Exchange Service
Country(s): Germany (can be applied to OUS exchange program in Baden-Württemberg)
Requirements: U.S. or Canadian citizen (or foreign national who has been a full-time student at an accredited U.S. or Canadian university for more than one year); enrolled full-time as an undergraduate; at least junior standing by beginning of scholarship period; German language competency is desirable but not mandatory.
Award Amount: Semester or year abroad (4-10 months) Approx $615/month plus travel and start-up allowance.
Deadline: Varies by scholarship (several different scholarships available)

RISE Internship Funding
Country: Germany
Requirements: Currently enrolled at an United States or Canadian university/college as a full-time student in the field of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Sciences or Engineering (or a closely related field); undergraduate who will have completed at least 2 years of a degree program by the time of the placement; prove that you will be registered as an undergraduate at your university/college for the academic year 2007/2008 (i.e., that you will still have undergraduate status upon your return to North America).
*German language skills are not required for most positions but would be helpful to manage everyday life outside of the laboratory. The working language will generally be English.
Award Amount: Monthly scholarship of Euro 650 for a period of 6 weeks to 3 months (pro-rated depending on length of stay) between the Middle of May and August 2008

Oregon University System/Baden-Württemberg Scholarship
Country(s): Germany
Requirements: For students participating in the Oregon University System (OUS) exchange program in Baden-Württemberg.
Award Amount: Approx. $80 - $410/month for 10 months.
Deadline: Must apply to the OUS Germany program by Feb. 1.

IE3 Global Internships Scholarship Program

Requirements: Must have completed both scholarship and internship applications by the published internship application deadline
Award Amount: Fee reduction of $500-1500

AHA/NCSA Study Abroad Scholarships
Country(s): AHA study abroad programs in Angers, France; Athens, Greece; London, England; Macerata, Italy; Morelia, Mexico; or Vienna, Austria; additionally, one specific scholarship for London during Winter term and another for any NCSA program (including the above, as well as Accra, Ghana; Oviedo & Segovia, Spain; Siena, Italy)
Requirements: Must enroll in an AHA/NCSA study abroad program and have completed both the AHA/NCSA and OSU study abroad applications; minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA; NO summer programs
Award Amount: $500-1500
Deadline: October 15th for Winter term or Winter/Spring semester programs; November 15th for Spring term programs

CAS Study Abroad (in Canada) Scholarships
Country: Canada (preferrably BC or Alberta) - Ag Sciences has exchange programs in Canada; other students wanting to study in Canada may petition a program on an individual basis
Requirements: Must be pursuing a BA or BS in Oregon, Washington or Idaho; studying abroad at a Canadian university for at least one semester
