Location:
Dar es Salaam is a bustling equatorial city on the Indian Ocean with a population of 2.5 million. It is Tanzania's center of commerce and government, despite not being the official capital. Dar es Salaam's proximity to Zanzibar and its history with the rise of the Swahili culture make it an historic and culturally significant location.
Tanzania is the home of some of the most famous natural wildlife regions in Africa, including the Serengeti, Mt. Kilimanjaro, a major coral reef, the Great Rift Valley, three of Africa's largest lakes, and the Ngorongoro crater.
