The University of Cantabria is located in the city of Santander, a port and resort town on the northern coast of Spain. It is the capital of the Autonomous Region of Cantabria, one of Spain's "green" provinces. Nestled in the north of the Iberian Peninsula amongst the communities of Castile and Leon, Asturias and the Basque Country, it is located on the Bay of Biscay. Cantabria is well connected by all means of transportation to the rest of Spain and Europe.
