From the imperial palace to the skyscrapers of Japan, Tokyo is home to more than 11 million people and a dynamic confluence of commerce, culture, and industry. Tucked among the thriving financial, industrial and entertainment districts of the city are smaller neighborhoods with narrow streets, wooden houses and handicraft shops, each with a flavor and history all its own. Though Tokyo is densely populated, it offers pockets of calm in beautiful parks and gardens, quiet residential streets and tranquil temples and shrines. Tokyo provides a safe and exciting learning environment.
