CIEE Italy, Naples Classical Studies
Students take courses at the CIEE Study Center in Naples and at University of Naples “L’Orientale." The Orientale is a center for the study of foreign languages and cultures, not only Asian but Middle Eastern, African, Mediterranean, and even North American, that is unique in Italy and has few rivals in Europe. There are approximately 10,500 students and 300 faculty. CIEE students have access to the University’s libraries, computer center, student canteen, and sports facilities.
Naples is a bustling ancient Greco-Roman city south of Rome, home to many historically and culturally significant sites, including the ruins of Pompeii.
2.75 GPA; previous coursework in Classical Studies.
OSU Study Abroad Program Deadlines
Deadlines for OSU Study Abroad Programs:
- Summer Programs: March 15
- Fall, Year-Long Programs: April 15
- Winter/Spring Semester Programs: October 15
- Spring Term Programs: November 15
Programs may have alternative deadlines or extend deadlines. Confirm with your program advisor.
Student share apartments with other program participants and Italian students. Students with no prior Italian language are welcome; Italian language instruction is a component of the program.
