London is one of the most cosmopolitan, hip cities in the world. Thousands of world cultures mingle with British tradition in this metropolis, creating an air of excitement and sophistication in all areas of the city. London is the cultural capital of the United Kingdom and offers endless attractions, art, theatre, music, and, of course, plenty of British politics and history.

London also is home to numerous universities. Like many large cities, the universities are scattered throughout different neighborhoods, each with its own atmosphere and attractions.

King's College and the University of Westminster are in the center of London on the Strand. Queen Mary, University of London is in the up-and-coming East End. Once best known for being the hunting ground of Jack the Ripper, today the East End is undergoing a revitalization and has developed a hip, diverse culture.
