OUS: Ecuador, Universidad San Francisco de Quito
Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) is located in a suburb of Quito, the main campus of USFQ provides a quiet haven from the hustle and bustle of urban Quito. Neoclassical buildings, courtyards and a Japanese tea house provide a snapshot of the innovative and eclectic culture of the USFQ. Located about 40 minutes by bus from central Quito, the USFQ is home to about 2700 undergraduate and 125 graduate students. Because of its size and program structure, USFQ offers many opportunities for students to integrate into Ecuadorian academic life.
The USFQ is comprised of the following colleges: Administration for Development; Architecture; Communication and Contemporary Arts; Liberal Arts; Health Sciences; Biological Sciences and Environment; Agricultural Products and Nutrition; Science and Engineering; and Hospitality, Gastronomy and Tourism. Nestled high in the Andes Mountains, Quito is the center of Ecuador's political and cultural activity. Colonial churches and cathedrals as well as the art and artifacts of a diverse indigenous population illustrate Quito's rich history. Narrow cobblestone streets of the Old City instantly provide contrast with the modern office buildings and avenues just a few blocks away. Cumbaya is a city of 80,000 located in a valley about 30 minutes east of Quito.

- Winter/Spring Semester Programs: October 15
- Spring Term Programs: November 15
