SIT The Balkans: State Building and Human Rights in Kosovo, Macedonia, and Serbia

Explore the challenges confronting new states with a focus on social exclusion and minority rights.
The program includes study in three countries – Macedonia, Kosovo, and Serbia – giving students multiple perspectives in different community contexts.
Students discuss the changes and contemporary issues shaping the region with key players such as policy makers, community leaders, activists, government officials, experts, academics, and local students.
SIT Study Abroad welcomes applications from undergraduate students in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 at any college or university and who have completed at least one year of college-level coursework at the time of application.

Deadlines for OSU Study Abroad Programs:
- Summer Programs: March 15
- Fall, Year-Long Programs: April 15
- Winter/Spring Semester Programs: October 15
- Spring Term Programs: November 15
