OSU Study Abroad Program Deadlines
Deadlines for OSU Study Abroad Programs:
- Summer Programs: March 15
- Fall, Year-Long Programs: April 15
- Winter/Spring Semester Programs: October 15
- Spring Term Programs: November 15
Many programs will have alternative deadlines or may grant deadline extensions...check with your program advisor for specifics.
All study abroad and internship applicants are required to pay an application fee. See the Application Fee page for details.
No reference letters are required to apply for this program.
Three essays are required in this application.
Complete the following essays and submit them to osu.scandinavia.11@oregonstate.edu by the February 15th deadline.
1. Please write a brief autobiographical sketch that includes your personal history, family background, work experience, travel experience and other factors which have influenced your personal development. (approximately 1-2 pages)
2. Please state how your participation in this international program will contribute you your educational, career and personal goals. (approximately ½ page)
3. All participants have personal strengths and weaknesses. Please give yours and describe how they are relevant to your participation in this international program. (approximately ½ page)

Order one transcript from each institution you have attended and have earned 15 credits or more.
OSU official transcripts can be ordered through the OSU Online Services student account or through the Office of the Registrar.
All students are required to return this form to the program coordinators after they are accepted into the program. See the Health Disclosure Form page for details.

A passport valid for six months beyond your program is required. Apply for a passport immediately if you have not done so already. Visit travel.state.gov for an application.
All students are requested to attend general pre-departure orientation with all students going abroad from OSU. View orientation dates and registration. The date for the orientation session occuring in Spring term will be available February 1st.
All participants are required to enroll in the 2 credit seminar in the Spring 2011 (WSE 599.)
All students are encouraged to visit their primary care provider before going abroad. Information about immunizations and travel health can be obtained from the Travel Medicine Clinic at Student Health Services.
File FAFSA and apply for financial aid for the term(s) of your program.
IDEA will submit a financial aid budget with your estimated cost of attendance to the Office of Financial Aid the term prior to your departure so that your aid award may be adjusted.
