Areas of responsibility: 
Ron teaches on the core faculty in the Intensive English Program and directs small programs for the ELI Special Programs office. He also serves on several committees, including the Faculty Senate Advancement of Teaching Committee, and the ELI’s Scholarship and Pharmacy Task Force committees.
Profile: 
Ron has been in the field of international education for 26 years and has taught ESL for over 20 years. He graduated from Southern Illinois University with a master's in ESL/EFL, and he worked in programs in Illinois, Tennessee, and North Carolina before moving to Oregon. Ron was a Fulbright Scholar in South Korea in 1984-1985. In Oregon, he worked full-time at the American English Institute at the University of Oregon for three years and at Western Oregon University for two years. He joined OSU in 2002.
