Rick Finnan has been working in the field of English as a second language since 1976 and at the ELI since 1986. In addition to teaching and doing teacher training, he has also served as the ELI's Coordinator of Instruction and International Student Advisor. He taught for a year in a binational center in Spain, conducted a teacher training program in China for one year, held a Fulbright lectureship for one year in Romania, and worked for OSU and the ELI in the Yemen-America Language Institute in Yemen for three years. Most recently, he was awarded a Fulbright fellowship in Cyprus for the 2005-2006 academic year. For five years, he also worked at the intensive ESL center at the University of Arizona, from which he received a B.A. in English Literature and an M.A. in TESL.
