Joyce earned an Ed.M. in TESOL/Adult Education from OSU in 1983 and has worked as an instructor at the English Language Institute since 1986. She was program director for the Eisenhower Grant Project teacher training in 1999. Joyce has been appointed program director for various special programs, and she was lead instructor, curriculum developer and teacher trainer for the Asia University America Program (1988-1993). She is co-author of Write About It! and Talk About It!, two integrated skills textbooks published by the University of Michigan Press.
