Cynthia is responsible for advising international students on immigration regulations and academic, personal, financial, social, and cross-cultural issues. She takes the lead on planning new student orientations and also engages in outreach with the OSU community. She is a faculty advisor for International Students of Oregon State University (ISOSU) and the European Student Association.
Cynthia obtained her Bachelor’s degree in German from California State University, Chico, during which time she studied abroad in Mainz, Germany. She went on to gain a Master’s degree in Linguistics from the University at Buffalo. She then taught German, Theater, and Dance for 9 months in Kenya and later taught English in France.
In her free time, Cynthia enjoys reading, travelling, and studying languages. She likes to dance and sing in musical theater and she swims twice a week.
