Laurie assists students with their questions and concerns regarding immigration regulations and academic, personal, financial, social, and cross-cultural issues. She also engages in outreach with the OSU community to help represent the needs and interests of international students on campus.
Laurie completed her undergraduate work at the University of California, Davis, with bachelor's degrees in International Relations and French. During her undergraduate program she studied in Poitiers, France, and Dubrovnik, Yugoslavia. Laurie received her master’s degree in International/Intercultural Management from the School for International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont. She has enjoyed working in the field of international education for almost 20 years, holding various positions in Washington, D.C., Vermont, Illinois, and Oregon.
Laurie enjoys traveling, sampling cuisine from different cultures, taking long walks, and being the parent of two boys.
