Corvallis area returned Peace Corps Volunteers, Oregon State University students, and interested members of the Corvallis community are invited to attend this International Education Week event at Oregon State University. A panel of Corvallis area returned Peace Corps Volunteers will share their own unique perspectives on what it was like to live and work overseas. Jen Hagenow, a returned Peace Corps Volunteer and official representative from the regional Peace Corps Office in Seattle will present a history of Peace Corps volunteerism and address how Corvallis area community members, OSU alumni, and others continue the legacy of service. Light refreshments will be served at this free event.

Learn about the amazing relationship between Uzhgorod, Ukraine and Corvallis, Oregon. Nearly 400 Corvallis residents have visited Uzhgorod; more than 200 Ukrainians have traveled to Corvallis since 1989. The CSCA has facilitated cultural exchanges, professional development opportunities, and since 2000, the TOUCH Project which has connected over 300 orphaned Ukrainian children with sponsors from Corvallis to Canada. Presented by Sabra Killen, CSCA Executive Board member.

This is the second in the 2006-2007 Crossroads Worldview series, which occurs on the third Thursday of each month (except December and the summer months).
