International Degree and Education Abroad (IDEA) and the Office of Community and Diversity are working together to enhance the diversity of students participating in study abroad. With funding from the IFSA Foundation, 10 Diversity Scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each were awarded in the 2007-2008 academic year. This money will go toward the OSU study abroad program of the student's choice.

Returning scholarship recipients will serve as study abroad ambassadors and mentors, making presentations to student groups, classes, and OSU's six cultural centers, and engaging in other forms of peer mentoring. Members of the Multicultural Study Abroad Group and the International Programs staff will provide support to the Diversity Scholars throughout this formative experience.
