Costa Rica Natural Resources Study Aborad Application Due
For the very first time, Forestry 365 (Issues in Natural Resources Conservation) will be taught online via E-campus for 9 weeks followed by a 10 day field excursion to Costa Rica (Dec 12-22) where the final lessons of the course will be explored hands-on.
In Costa Rica, the class will travel to the Caribbean Coastal Plain, up and around the volcanic spine of Central America, to the Pacific Coast. Along the way they will explore fruit and coffee plantations, the Cloud Forests (Bosques Nubosos), and learn about sea turtle conservation. Throughout the time abroad the course will discuss and debate global perspectives of the environmental, economic, and social issues that were introduced during the online class portion. While in Costa Rica, the group will be hosted by the Monteverde Institute.
This three credit Bacc Core course is open to all OSU students, regardless of major, and will be taught online and led in Costa Rica by Dr. Ron Reuter from the OSU Department of Forest Ecosystems and Society.
Student must apply to participate in this program and will receive instructor approval to register for the course after they are notified of acceptance. Applications must be submitted by July 8. 2013.

AHA Scholarship Application Due
The AHA Scholarship is a monetary scholarship available to all students applying for any AHA study abroad program. Individual scholarships are available and range from $500-$3,000; the amount awarded will vary depending on an applicant’s:
- Academic standing
- Scholarship application essay
- Project proposal
- Resume
- Financial need (optional)

IE3-OUS Chancellor Scholarships
IE3 offers scholarships to highly-qualified applicants with financial need. The award is in the form of a $500 - $1500 program fee reduction (for Scholarship Recipient Requirements, see below). IE3 Global Internships considers applications for all IE3 internship sites.
To apply, submit a completed IE3 Scholarship Application online in addition to a completed Internship Application.
