Welcome to the International Cultural Service Program (ICSP) at Oregon State University (OSU)!
The International Cultural Service Program (ICSP) began at OSU in 1983 and it has attracted many outstanding students from countries around the globe. The program offers a scholarship to international students in exchange for cultural service to the surrounding communities. The goal of the ICSP program is to increase cultural awareness and understanding throughout the local region and the state of Oregon.
Qualified students are those who attend or are interested in attending OSU, and who are willing to serve as a cultural ambassador within the state of Oregon. Candidates are not required to have formal speaking or teaching experience, but a willingness to share about their home country or region of the world is critical. Students wishing to apply to ICSP may learn more about how and when to apply by clicking "applying to ICSP' on the left.
Community requesters may submit a speaker request by creating a requester profile (click 'log in' on the left navigation bar) and a login password. Request may then be submitted online. As of Spring term 2008, we are also still accepting paper requests.
Please check in late summer 2008 for information on our 2008-09 speaker biographies. If you wish to be added to a mailing list to receive information on ICSP speakers please contact us.
