The CalculusQuestTM expedition will stick to the main trail even thought there are loads of secondary trails. Many go nowhere interesting but some lead to breath-taking scenery, a rare plant, or a chance to get a better view. Your guides have noted which these are and strongly suggest that you take the time and put in the effort to travel these selected secondary trails. There is no compulsion to do so, and the going might be tough at times, but the rewards are worth it.

Students expecting an "A" or "B" in CalculusQuestTM should make it their habit to read the enrichment pages. It is not necessary to master all of the material in the enrichment pages to earn one of these grades, but it is definitely necessary to have the overview which can be gained by working through it.
