Credit and Grades

The Gradebook

Your progress and performance in CalculusQuestTM is monitored using a gradebook which you look at any time by using a link on the CQ Resource page. The gradebook contains an entry of every recorded activity in the course.

ACTIVITIES IN THE ONWARD AND UPWARD AREA ARE GRADED AND RECORDED. NO ACTIVITES FROM THE LESSON OR PRACTICE AREA ARE RECORDED IN THE GRADEBOOK.

If you only want to see which activities you have done, use the "What's Next?" link on the Resource page. This is discussed in more detail under "Study Hints" on the next page.

Onward and Upward

As you progress through CalculusQuestTM you build a record of evidence that you have met the course objectives. Credit for CalculusQuestTM is based upon this evidence, and this evidence comes from the activities in the Onward and Upward areas.

The following is a "pull-down menu" of types of activities you might encounter in "onward and upward". Move your mouse over the small window displaying "ACTIVITY MENU" and HOLD THE MOUSE BUTTON DOWN. This will reveal a list of choices which can be selected. Once an item is selected, it will appear in the window when you move your mouse off of the list. An explanation of the selected activity will appear in the large box.

All Onward and Upward Areas contain either on-line quizzes or some sort of proctored exam. Practice Areas contain (non-graded) practice quizzes as well.
