Integration of the Disciplines
Integrated Instructional Design
Learning Process
- How does authentic assessment relate to your philosophy of student learning and change?
- How might you apply authentic assessment to Jason's needs?
- How might you integrate these concepts and practices into your pedagogy?
- Reflect on the two instructional design models (ISD/CID) and how does each of these models fit with your philosophy of teaching and learning?
- How would you apply one of these models to address Jason's needs?
Performance Task
- Present an integrated instructional lesson that focuses on multiple interacting components (educator, student, classroom, school context, community context, cultural factors, disciplines, authentic assessment, reflective processes, etc.).
- Use an instructional design process to create the integrated lesson that best meets your goals as an instructor and Jason's (as well as the other students in your classroom) needs as learners.
- Critically review and provide feedback on two integrated lessons. Respond directly to the peer's lesson posting on HyperNews.
- Journal response to either reflective question 1&2, or 3&4 above. Integrate your response into one reflection.
