The district has just purchased a national curriculum
that you were required to implement in your class. In attempting to meet
the goals of the curriculum you become aware that Jason (typically a high
achiever and model student) is falling further behind, less engaged in
discussion, and is becoming more disruptive. Your growing frustration with
attempting to monitor and manage Jason's "on-task" behavior culminates
in a recent incident where you send Jason to the vice principal's office.
