This web site was particularly interesting to me, because it dealt
with the issues that many minorities face on a college campus.
The
mission statement is, "to encourage and promote ethnic minority
students'
social and academic integration into the university." The
web site is
extremely helpful because it shows many programs that can get
minority
students' more involved on their campuses and allow them to meet
with
other students' in order to form a support system. The
web site is very
well laid out with many different links that seemed very useful.
My five questions for the author of the website would be:
1. Have these programs been effectivein getting more minority
students
involved on campus?
2. Was there any particular incident that prompted the
making of this
website?
3. Although multicultural issues are important issues at
all levels, do
they become more apparent at the university level?
4. How many students' use the website for information on
how to become
more involved on campus?
5.Are these programs currently in effect at all universities?
