Lucas, G. (Producer & Director). (1983). Return of the Jedi[film]. CA:Lucas Film.

While viewing the Star Wars Trilogy this weekend, I began to notice the
lack of diversity between the actors.  To begin with, I counted only four
men of an ethnic race othen than caucasion and only two females.  One of
the Generals of the good side were African American.  I was very suprised
to see this.  I did however take into consideration the time that the film
was made.

Here are my five questions for George Lucas, the creater of Return of the
Jedi:

1) How did you select the actors for your films?

2) Why wern't minorities used as much in the film?

3) Who was the mind behind all the creatures?  Were they used in place for
diversity in the movie?

4) Was the use of masks on the creatures, especially the army's used to
hide the gender of the actor/actress?

5) In future films, do you plan on using more women and minorities in your
films?

I feel this video is a very good example because it is watched by
millions.  With the new videos coming out I hope Lucas will incorporate
more diversity into his movies.
