LeoNora Cohen
 

LeoNora Cohen is an Associate Professor in the School of Education at Oregon State University.  She teaches undergraduate foundational courses, a course on integrating disciplines, doctoral courses and others.  She completed her doctorate at Temple University, specializing in Education of the Gifted and Talented.  She taught and served as an administrator for 19 years in Philadelphia Public Schools.  Her interests include theory, optimizing development, school-university partnerships, teaching and learning, metacognition, children's interests, coping strategies, identifying and serving underrepresented populations, and creativity.  She has published five books and over 50 articles and book chapters.  She invites people to come and talk with her about these and other areas.
 

Eileen Waldschmidt

Eileen Waldschmidt is an assistant professor in the School of Education at Oregon State University whose primary responsibilities are the ESOL/bilingual endorsement program and coordinator for a bilingual education career ladder program which is supported by a U.S. Department of Education grant. Prior to this position, she was a classroom teacher who had worked for 19 years in the Albuquerque Public School District as a bilingual and regular classroom teacher, and as a university clinical supervisor in the teacher education programs at the University of New Mexico. In addition to her interest in bilingual education, Eileen is also interested in process drama and how it can facilitate the learning of English Language Learners.


Kay Stephens
Kay Stephens is the licensure coordinator for middle level and secondary English Language Arts. She taught in the public schools for 26 years, most recently at Crescent Valley High School in the Honors International Studies program for grade 10.
