Interactions for ED419 |
This page lists faculty members and their areas of expertise. These individuals have agreed to be included as part of this human resource page. Feel free to contact them directly by email. If you click on a name, you will have an email form to complete that may be used to send questions directly to the individual. There are a number of photographs on this page, so it may take a longer time to upload.
These questions are designed to guide your research and your examination of students if you are in a field practicum. The questions and answers posted to the discussion forum will help you in your dialog/discussion with your peers, your discussant (an individual you may choose at your site to discuss issues face-to-face) and the instructor. You may need to research these questions/topics using various resources. These include Pang's book, Multicultural Education: A caring-centered, reflective approach, resources including web links, and any other appropriate resources you wish to use. It is expected that your personal experiences will also guide you in forming your comments on the forum. There is a tutorial on forum questions written by another member of our School of Education Faculty. You may link to this tutorial if you have questions on how the forum works.
About every other week you are invited to write to the instructor who will then write back to you. The entries may be about any subject you believe is related to multicultural issues in education or the larger community. The journal entries are best if related to issues in your own life or future classroom using an "authentic voice," perhaps out of your comfort zone. The entries may be submitted by email. Please title each entry. You may also use this interaction to clarify and ask questions about the course or the forum.
Thanks to those who worked on this course: credits and citations where due.
