This article is central to understanding the underlying principles
for providing services to all students in our classrooms. It also
gives insight into the work for ED 419 which is organized around giving
the students enrolled in the course an opportunity to experience each principle
in their own learning. This article is part of the course packet
and you will have a hard copy when you purchase the packet from the bookstore,
however, the web version contains additional material. It is suggested
that you reread the simple rules included in the article again on the web

This document details an activity that may be connected to self-studies
on learning styles, a lesson on multiple intelligences, diversity among
ethnic groups, and/or general appreciation of others. It helps to
level the playing field for it recognizes the value in multiple intelligences.
Verbal/Linguistic Intelligence is the form of intelligence that dominates
most Western educational systems. Focus on the other intelligences
brings us closer to valuing ways of knowing valued by other cultures.
