This fiction book focuses on life in a small town on San Piedro Island
in
Washington. It takes a look at the lives of the Japanese Americans
and
the European Americans that live there both Pre and Post World War
2.
It talks about what the
Japanese had to deal with at that time,
and how they were forced to move from the homes and live in internment
camps all around the US and how it tore their lives apart. It
mostly
focused on the relationship between a Japanese American girl and European
American boy and how the war affected the love relationshiop that they
shared before the war.
