Project Writing Guide

Regardless of the project you have selected, instructor evaluation of your project will be based on your written work (which could be included as part of a portfolio).  Your project paper should present and justify a critical/analytical framework and then apply that framework to your project topic and data.  If you are doing a case study, for example, you need to analyze the case rather than simply describe it.

You decide what issues should be a part of your critical framework and should explain why you have chosen them.  The articles in the reading packet and the texts of the course (The Mediation Process, The Mediator's Handbook, and The Promise of Mediation) may provide some ideas helpful to your development of a critical/analytical framework.

A good analytical paper will include:

A design project (e.g., mediation training program) should include a written rationale for the project's purpose, contents, and training methods.

References should be complete and consistent, using whatever recognized citation system you find the most appropriate.
