The 5th Annual Cascade Print Exchange encourages artists and art students from around the world to answer the call to submit an edition of 15 identical hand-pulled, original prints created specifically for this exchange.

Print exchanges are common practice among printmakers, who take advantage of the multiples produced in their craft, to share their work and collect the works of other artists. The Cascade Print Exchange fosters a creative dialogue for artists and students alike, allowing them to learn from different approaches, and helping them to create a worldwide community of artists in their field.

Oregon State University art students, under the direction of faculty member Yuji Hiratsuka, participate in the exchange, organizing the call to artists, receiving the prints, and randomly selecting the portfolios for the exchange.

All artists meeting the submission requirements are included in the exhibit and are included in a catalogue, which they receive with their randomly selected portfolio of 13 prints. Two of the 15 prints are retained by the OSU Department of Art.

Special thanks goes to Joyce Dickerson, whose generous financial support makes this project possible.
