Schedule for BB 450/550 Ecampus for Spring Term, 2013

(Note - this is the page for the ECAMPUS version of BB 450/550. The CLASSROOM version is different and should not be used by CLASSROOM students, nor should the ECAMPUS version be used by CLASSROOM students)

The syllabus is required reading in this course. Download it HERE. The book used in this course is the seventh edition of Berg, Tymoczko, and Stryer. If you would like a free biochemistry book called Biochemistry Free and Easy (BFE below), you may download it HERE. Please note that BFE is not as extensive as the Stryer book.

Technical Notes - You should use the YouTube videos for viewing and the iTunes U videos for downloading. The streaming audio files (.mp3) should load onto an iPod if first put into iTunes.

You connect with iTunes U for OSU HERE. If you click on "Open OSU on iTunes U" on the Web page, iTunes will open and you can subscribe to the BB 450/550 videos. You will want the ones for Fall 2011.

There are many songs sung on the lecture videos. You can see all of them and download recordings of most of them HERE.

Please note that the exam format in BB 450 ecampus is a simple multiple choice format. It is different than the format used in the classroom course. Since I only provide old exams to show the format, I do not provide old exams for ecampus. Neither do I recommend using old exams as study guides as I think they throw students off when material changes from one quarter to the next.

Comprehensive Final Exam

Comprehensive Final Exam

Exams in this course are simple multiple choice, so for this reason I do not provide practice exams.

This exam must be started and completed within a window that begins on June 10 at 8:00 a.m. U.S. Pacific time and ends at 5:00 p.m. U.S. Pacific time on June 12.

On this exam ONLY, students are allowed to bring and use one 5x8 inch notecard with hand-filled notes (both sides). Everything on the card must be handwritten by the student - no figures pasted on or anything taped to the card.
