Announcements:
- The week of October 12: An important aspect in your education is to development of
an appreciation for the Valley Library and how to utilize its
resources. Please review pages 242-50 in Cater et al., in this
chapter the focus is upon use of the library, research strategies,
and writing skills. During this week, Ms. Alison Bobal, the Valley
Library Liaison for ANS will conduct the sessions which will all
begin at 4 PM and conclude at 4:50 PM.
- Tuesday's session
will be held in Withycombe 109
- *Thursday,
class will meet in the Valley Library,
Willamette
Room
at 4 PM.
- An assignment, Who's Who at Oregon State University was distributed today and is to be submitted on Thursday, Oct. 22.
- The Library exercise
associated with this class will be distributed on Thursday and
is due on Tuesday, Oct. 20.
- Note:
Your
final course grade is derived from several different assignments
that must be completed and submitted as specified in the course
syllabus. To date, some students did not submit the required
autobiography when due, were not present in class when an
attendance sheet was circulated, and/or either did not submit the
Learning Style exercise or did not complete both requested
activities. A consequence is that for some students, the maximum
final grade that can be earned for this course is declining. Your
course grade is determined by your participation or lack there
of.
