Sue's research interests include natural resource institutions and governance, institutions for payments for ecosystem services, the New Natural Resource Economy for rural sustainability, and interagency/intergovernmental dynamics in natural resource management networks.  Sue came to INR having worked with local, state and federal agencies as well as non-governmental organizations on land use planning, natural resource policy and management, and collaborative decision-making.
