PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

Cancellations

If you are unable to come to the meeting or will be unable to present your poster or oral presentation for any reason, please contact Program Chair Thomas Hurst as soon as possible, at 541-867-0222 or thomas.hurst@noaa.gov.

Oral Presentations

Oral presentations will be kept to a very tight 15 minutes per speaker (including questions). Please bring your presentation in PowerPoint format to the meeting and have it loaded on to the meeting computer well in advance of your presentation. Computers will be available on Monday evening at registration for loading your talk. You will not be allowed to use your own computer for your presentation.

If you plan on showing video as part of your presentation, please use commonly supported codecs and test your talk prior to your presentation. Remember, it is your responsibility to ensure that your talk runs smoothly.

View current schedule of Oral Presentations.

Posters

Posters may be up to 48" in the vertical and 42" in the horizontal. We will provide the necessary materials for hanging the posters. If possible, bring your poster to the conference hotel during the registration session on Monday evening.

Because posters may not be accessible throughout the meeting due to space conflicts, poster presenters may also wish to bring reduced handouts of their poster to share with colleagues.
