Step 2: Setting up your ONID account
Now you will create your ONID username and password. Be sure to write down all the account info you create.
- First, make sure it's been at least 5 minutes since you completed Step 1.
- On the ONID website (http://onid.oregonstate.edu), click on the "Sign Up For ONID" link in the top left corner of the screen.
- Enter your OSU ID? number and the new GAP? that you chose.
- Click Submit.
Once you have done this, you will need to accept the school's Acceptable Use Policy. After that, you will be prompted to create a password. Please note the password restrictions.
After setting a password for the account, you will be asked if you would like to forward email. This is a personal preference, so fill it out as you see fit. Finally, the final page will show you your ONID username which you will use for the following steps.
