  • Download the appropriate version from the two listed above, most computers will use the 32-bit version. Only download the 64-bit if you are certain you are using a 64-bit version of Windows. Determine if your version of Windows is using 32-bit or 64-bit with the directions linked here.
  • Disconnect your computer from the Internet to keep it safeguarded while upgrading your anti-virus software.
  • Uninstall any previously installed anti-virus software.
  • Restart computer, ensure you are still disconnected from the Internet.
  • Install Symantec EndPoint Protection.
  • Configure the automatic update setting for the virus defintions and antivirus scans.
  • Finish the installation.
  • Restart the computer.
